ZAKARPATTIA SLEVELESS DRESSES
(end of XIX century – 50s of XX)
Systematization of expedition materials and museum collections prove that in Zakarpattia there existed as a local, peculiar to a definite group of Ukrainian people shoulder sleeveless dresses taken over as a result of contacts with other ethnoses that lived close to Ukrainians. A scientific researcher Yevheniya Gayova analyses peculiarities of these dresses in details according to the regions of this area, in particular from home made or manufacturing fabric as well as furriery articles and their decoration – technique, embroidery, beads. The author’s photos illustrate the narration.
