I’LL WATER THE SOUL WITH BEAUTY
Liubov Harbuzova writes that making vytynanky in Zhytomyr region has in its basis peculiar original features and has future development in gaining new artistic characteristics. The author retells about the best vytynanky from the funds of Zhytomyr oblast country museum, in particular created by a village teacher Yevheniya Levchuk (1904 – 1987) from Zarichia village Ruzhynsky region. In her compositions she uses mainly the image of “blossoming”, praising the beauty of nature. The decoration of the museum collection are Sergiy Tanadaychuk’s (1963 – 2002), from Berdychev, vytynanky. He managed to become an original master in painting, in painting pysanky, decorative painting, plastic arts. But his greatest achievement is attracting Berdychev youth to beauty. Reviving of this art in the oblast took place in 1944 – 1999. On the basis of the Ivan Franko Pedagogical University Academy in making vytynanky was created. The works of its students are distinguished by original emotional mood, perfect performance.
