UNITED WITH CLAY
In her article Olena Klymenko carries out analyses of the exhibition “United with Clay” dedicated to 100 years from the birth of the Ukrainian folk ceramics classic Havrylo Poshypaylo. There were exhibited H. Poshyvaylo’s works created with his wife a famous painter Yavdokha Poshyvaylo. The masters’ creativity demonstrates peculiarities of pottery development in the most well-known in Ukraine pottery center Opishne Poltava oblast. Varity of dishes, sculptures, toys decorated with traditional painting were presented at the exposition. The exhibition demonstrated inexhaustible possibilities of Ukrainian folk art.
