EASTER CUSTOM
Honorable folk art master of Ukraine Zoya Stashuk tells about the events dedicated to the wonderful All-Ukrainian Easter traditional custom “Ukrainian Pysanka” initiated by the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture and Tourism. In particular, at the exhibition that took place from 12 to 21 April the visitors saw the works of modern pysanka painters, pysanka museum collections, polygraphic editions, icons, rushnyky (national towels), ХVІІІ – ХІХ century pictures. The Union members held master-classes in pysanka art. So, hundreds of visitors tried to create magic miniatures. The idea of uniting East-West-South-North was consolidated in the ancient Sofiya Kyivska walls.
