FOLK TOY Maryna Verkhova, the NUFAMU member, thinks that a toy appears and develops alongside with the culture of people, reflecting its main essence, level of spiritual and economic development. A traditional folk toy from natural material though simple and primitive from the first sight is full of positive energy, love, tenderness and warmth. Making toys by their own hands children get involved into the heritage of their people, learn to create a wonder themselves that contributes to their esthetic and general development. The author gives some advice to beginners as to how create a toy at the lessons of art, in art clubs. The principles of creating a form of a doll that then is finished according to one’s desire, skills, taste are presented. |
