MARIYA HALUSHKO’S “NAIVE” This master comes from Khmelnitsk region, village Tashky. In 1958 she came to the capital to work. In 1965 she joined the construction of the Palace of Pioneers (now Palace for Children and Youth). At that time Ada Rybachuk and Volodymyr Melnychenko were creating mosaic pictures for this building. Amazed by the work of the masters Mariya Halushko sculptured her first works in her own unique style. The master works in na ve art that is also called primitive art. She creates ceramic images of her countrymen, fantastic animals. The author of narration Maryna Semesiuk analyses Maryna Halu-shko’s works created till 2000 as well as her active exhibition activity. After the personal tragedy – she lost her son – the master couldn’t work. In 2008 the Museum invited her to participate in the all-Ukrainian exhibition of ceramists. Now we can find new compositions in her house. |
