UKRAINIAN PAINTED BOWL Olena Klymenko dedicates her article to the analysis of one of the main elements of Ukrainian country house ensemble. The author tries to show that painted bowls alongside with other elements of interior – rushnykys, table clothes, carpets, wall paintings, vytynankys, wooden dishes – created integral art ensemble marked by high esthetic qualities. The analysis of the art peculiarities of the bowls from different regions of Ukraine is presented, including their forms, de-coration principles and techni-que, the most typical ornamental motives, compositional structure and other. The conclusion is made that painted bowls are or better to say were one of the most important elements of the art ensemble of a traditional Ukrainian house. Nowadays they decorate museums and are the evidence of infinite creative potential of our people. |
