Gallop, my Horse, Gallop
A famous journalist Valeriy Yasynovskyi tells about an outstanding master of a unique cheese toy; Mariya Matiychuk. The master and her works have made her native Hutsuly village Brustury well-known not only in Ukraine but abroad as well. She has had a difficult fate. During the Second World War Mariya’s father and then her three brothers were killed. After the War, she looked after her son all alone, built the house and waited for her husband to be back from the concentration camp. This year the glorious creator of a Hutsuly cheese toy was awarded with the title “The Honorable Folk Master of Ukraine”.
