The Whole Life is in Embroidery
Yuriy Melnychuk, deputy director of Ivan Gonchar Museum writes about Olena Kulynych-Stakhurska from Lviv and her unique illustrated edition that contains 150 seams of Ukrainian traditional embroidery. Last year the master celebrated her 80-th anniversary. Her life credo has always been desire to save and multiply spiritual treasures of our talented people. Wandering from one village to another, from one town to another she collected samples of patterns to save unique seams for descendants.
