Who if Not We Who if not we, - asks Dmytro Shynkarenko, the art expert, - will serve the art? Under the heading “New Names” the author introduced a young ceramist, a former M. Boychuk Kyiv State Decorative and Applied Arts Institute graduate Ivan Bobkov and his works. Alongside with his creative activity since 2001 the master has been teaching this art in T.G. Shevchenko State Art School. He is a member of the Ukrainian National Artists Union, a member of the NUFAMU, a participant of a lot of All-Ukrainian exhibitions. The master’s ability to follow folk style and at the same time the ability to process it and use as a method of contemporary art implementation impresses greatly. The most fascinating things are technological skills and professional approach in choosing glaze. The narration is illustrated with a number of photos. |
