A Bee on a Sun-Flower – a Cuckoo on a Snow-Ball Tree

Oleksandr Nayden, PhD in Art researches genre and graphic factors of Mariya Pryimachenko’s pictures. He puts them in a separate genre with a special historic poetry. He defines that in the drawings of the flower pots there are more traditional features and in the pictures there are more lyric and fairy tales features. Her drawings of the pots are very individual, they are the result of subjective view. Though her pictures relate to general wishes of kindness, welfare with the flavor of lyric and nostalgic perception of time and space as well as her own past and present.. The main part of her pictures is dedicated to a sun-flower, that is to the sun, to the warm light of the day. Major mood dominates in her works. It’s the triumph of a sun-flower, time of insemination, creating of ovary. In these works we observe a simplified image of the World Tree. O. Nayden researches regularity of intuitive and spontaneous insights on the example of the picture named “A Cuckoo on a Snow-Ball Tree”. This picture takes us back to the ancient view of the world, to the folklore perception of the everyday life. The main thing is the life power of blooming, inevitability of appearance and disappearance in the world, spring worries about anxious expectations and happy presentiments.
