KYPALSKI RITES IN POLTAVA AND VINNYTSIA REGIONS

A rite is one of the manifestations of “nazova” culture, which is a powerful substantial and driving factor of the whole human history. The rite is directed both into the past and future. Thus, ancestors and descendants as the earth and space factors of existence come together and act in a ritual person — thinks Oleksandr Nayden. He considers the holiday Ivana Kupala, which is celebrated in the energetic apogee of the year and is one of the favorite people’s holidays, to be the holiday that brings on the surface links between a human being and nature, as well as cosmological links. A reader learns about this traditional ritual action and its philosophical depth on the examples of Ivana Kupala’s rites in Poltava and Vinnytsia regions.
