LAND AND FIRE INFLORESCENCE
It’s Volodymyr Zhuravel’s exciting narration about Ukrainian pottery and, in particular, about the Union symposiums. The article shall attract the readers’ attention — not unfoundedly Ukraine is considered to be one of the biggest motherlands of the world pottery — on the boundaries of Õ²Õ — ÕÕ centuries it had about 7000 centers. Unfortunately it’s possible to learn about the past achievements only from museums. 5 years ago the NUFAMU and “Chyhyryn” national reserve initiated idea of carrying out youth pottery art symposiums. Ukrainian bowl was the topic of this year meeting. It took place in hot July in the first Hetman’s capital. During twenty two days fourteen masters were twisting the pottery wheel of the new era of this art blessed by the God. Every participant created a real wonder that could be observed at the summary exhibition. The author of the article makes a conclusion that creative cooperation of young and experienced masters deserves support from the state.
