TSEBLIV VILLAGE PAINTED BY HANNA SHURMA


The author of the story Liubov Voloshyn thinks there were several circumstances that influenced on Hanna Shurma's unique creative phenomenon, in particular nature gift. In her paintings Hanna follows her creative intuition and innate art taste but not a professional school. Her images have spontaneity of self-expression but not the life truth naivety. Hanna Shurma wanted to be a painter from her early childhood. Due to different life circumstances her talent wasn't expressed. Only in 80-s Hanna Shurma at last realized her passion. The memories about her childhood and youth in pre-war times in her native Tsebliv village in Sokalshchyna region are the best song of her creativity. In her works the master depicts every day life and labor environment in details. The world of her art are traditions, customs, field labor, originality of Sokalshchyna ornaments. Hanna Shurma is not simply a painter, participant of many exhibitions, she is also good at signing, writing poetry, embroidering, painting pysankas, beadwork.
