PURE COLORE OF BEAUTY AND LOVE The fine, decorative and applied art representational collection of Zaporizhia regional museum comprises 13500 items. Though the museum was founded not so long ago in a big industrial city, young scientists have been enthusiastically enriching the collection. Tamara Honcharenko tells about the collection of Ukrainian ceramics from different regions of the country, about decorative painting of the masters from Petrikivtsi — Marfa Tymchenko, Mariya Pryimachenko, folk dresses of the end of XIX — beginning of XX centuries, the best textile clothes, rushnyks (towels), pysankas, chinaware, art wood, glass. The museum is famous by big art actions, exhibitions, including one dedicated to 500 years of Zaporizhia Cossacks. |
