A PINK STONE WARMS THE SOUL
The art expert from Sumy Yevheniya Kocherzhenko tells about a famous master, lecturer from Sumy pedagogical university, participant of a number of exhibitions, including international, Olga Huley. She graduated from Lviv institute of decorative art. Olga Huley is an unordinary, many-sided person who mastered different types of art: she learned the technique of art stone processing (under the guidance of Kyiv master Vasyl Parakhin), beading pysanka’s decoration, embroiders in silk, creates compositions in religious topics. The master exercises approximately all techniques of Ukrainian folk embroidery, the owner of the Grand-prix (2003, 2004) in embroidery, However, again and again she is attracted by the pink stone – slate. Her stone works have different shape – pendants, crosses with Christ, icons, chests, salt-cellars, different decorations. The author of the narration analyses in details a number of works, marks the shape, high professionalism.
