ANATOLIY IVANKOV
Anatoliy Hryhorovych has been the Union member approximately from the time of its foundation. All this time he has been working in a folk style reviving and making richer geometrical carving in Chernihiv region. After finishing school his thirst for knowledge and love for wood led Anatoliy to Ivano-Frankivsk college in Lviv region. Which he successfully finished according to specialty “wood art carving master”. He returned to Novhorod-Siverskyi, his native place to do his job in the sake of his native land. Alongside with Anatoliy Kiloshyn they can be considered the patriarchies of carving revival in Sivershchyna. They were the first who gave the life to this old art. Ihor Bilevych, Anatoliy Ivankov’s pupil and follower, told the story about the honorable master.
