GEORGIY KOZHOKAR GEORGIY KOZHOKAR — is a leading naive painter from Zaporizhzhia. He comes from Moldova but was deeply influenced by the wonderful world of Ukrainian old and modern village, felt its poetry, traditions and resided himself in a Cossack area. He has exhibited his works at more than 30 art and 11 personal exhibitions, in particular at the first All-Ukrainian Union exhibition of na?ve art. The master’s personal exhibition in Vinytsia where he displayed about 30 pictures on Cossack life, which impressed viewers by their style variety from surrealism to realism, had a great success. Participation in All-Ukrainian Folk and Decorative Painting Symposium Subotiv — 2005 played significant role in the master’s life and activity. Here, near Chyhyryn, everything was full of history that influenced the master and resulted in a number of pictures depicting steppe knights struggling for freedom of Ukrainian people.
