SLOBOZHANY KULISH Oleksandr Vakulenko, head of the Kharkiv NUFAMU Office, writes about creative flourishing of a 70-year-old Andriy Mykytovych Kulish. It was in late 80s when the master revived in Slobozhany the art of vytynanky (cutting on paper) and has now many followers: this art is learned at schools according to the school curriculum. Since 2001 Kulish has been a constant member of children's festivals and children's art competitions. He is a member of a number of exhibitions, including a personal one. The master is one of the most active members of the Office though the native village Zernove is far from the city. Let him live long creative life! |
