Raisa Kushnarenko celebrated her 80-year birthday in July 2005. The personal master's exhibition in the Folk Art Museum in Slobozhany and in Kharkiv NUFAMU Office were dedicated to this event. O. Yevsyeeva , director of the Museum, highly evaluates different kinds of ornaments and variety of embroidery and beading technique, motives and compositions. Raisa, a Byelorussian from Brest region, came to Kharkiv region when she was already an adult and in late 70s-early 80s was among those who revived the folk art here. Since then she has been a constant participant of regional, All-Ukrainian exhibitions, she is full of creative energy and plans for future.
