ART MOSAICS ART MOSAICS is the heading of the two pieces of information by Viktor Furman. The first information tells about the creative works of the talented 65-year-old master Hryhoriy Hrynia, whose exhibition - dozens of rushnyks (traditional folk embroidered towels) with embroideries, national folk shirts, pictures etc. - took place in the halls of Poltava museum of local lore. The exhibition was both a kind of a summing up and passing on the baton to next generations. The master's creative biography is very simple - he finished the Reshetiliv School of the Art Trades Masters (trade - tapestry), worked at the Opishnie art factory. Being the chief painter of the factory, he visited different villages and collected the best samples of regional folk art, created compositions on the basis of which the factory's masters have made thousands of wonderful embroidery items. The master is still in a continuous search for new projects, new ideas. Another Viktor Furman's information is entitled Spring Colors in Obereza. It narrates about one of the most interesting spring events Reshetiliv Spring that took place for the eleventh time already. There were presented the works of folk art masters in tapestry, embroidery, weaving, painting and others. Among the participants there were the laureate of the National Taras Shevchenko Prize Nadiya Babenko, her son Oleksandr, P. Shevchuk, V. Derkach, Ye. Piliuhin with his daughters. Very embarrassing were embroideries "in white on white", weaving as well as painting made, in particular, by I. Novobranets, S. Chorna, V. Mazura and others. |
