FLIGHT FOR TWO
The Hutsul's art ceramics is an heiress of the centuries-old mountaineers' culture. It is famous all round the country for its poetry and bright ornaments. Ivan and Mariya Ryopik talented married couple occupies a special place in the modern ceramic art. Unfortunately, this year Mariya Mykhaylivna left us. Ivan Vasyliovych continues his creative activity implementing his ideas into vases, sugar basins, fruit vases. The variety of shapes, plots and ornaments is surprising, but he is working now for himself and his wife. The author of the narration Ivan Mysiuk writes that these two people were both born in Ternopil, both graduated from the Kosiv college art department. Since 1972 they were always together in their life and activity. In their creative activity there are prestigious exhibitions (tile oven, small shape's sculpture), the caf?'s interior in Kyiv, personal exhibition in the NUFAMU's halls. Their pupils and followers continue their business.
