FOLK ART UNIVERSAL SPIRIT
FOLK ART UNIVERSAL SPIRIT is Ihor Poshyvailo's impressions from his visit to the USA in the framework of International Visitor Program of the USA State Department. A trip became a wonderful opportunity to learn American culture, ways of its preservation and development, initiatives of governmental, not-for-profit and private organizations in preserving cultural heritage. In the article a retrospective overview of some American museums is presented, activity of which in the realm of folk culture is to get Ukrainian experts in this filed interested. The author attracts the reader's attention to the fact, that the state and society efforts should be focused on preserving cultural environment of the nation - in this context the USA experience can serve as a model.
