ANTON SHTEPA. AN UNFORTUNATE LUCKY MAN.
Such is the title of a book-album dedicated to the 100-th anniversary of this famous master. April 20, 2005 when an honorable folk art master of Ukraine, an elder artistic carving, was 102, he passed away. During his whole life Anton Hnatovych was accompanied by his love for art, for Ukraine and people. Memory about him is his unique sculptures, his memoirs and the mentioned book-album, publishing of which was supported by the Ivan Honchar Museum Ukrainian Folk Culture Center, Ivan Honchar Fund public organization and Vereschynski private company employees. The project head is Irina Sadova. Mykola Kaharlytskyi, a writer, tells readers an exciting story about this publication that amazes both by the material that it contains and uniqueness of artistic design.
