HANNA DIDENKO'S CREATIVITY


The master comes from the famous Poshyvaylo family. Her works differ from the others by saving in majority of her toys traditional background of Opishnia (Poltava region) plastics, ancient peculiarities. From her mother, Natalka Kalenych, Hanna learned from early childhood to make patterns, when she grew up she started making a bigger toy, as her mother. The toys were decorated not only with aniline but also with engobe paintings. A special kind of painting was made at the Khudozhniy Keramic (Art Ceramics) plant, where Hanna worked as a toy master. According to the art expert Olena Klymenko, Didenko's works of the last ten years give the idea of the main tendencies in development of small plastics in the village of the XXth century; here one can find traditional patterns and a "table sculpture", topical compositions. The master's works are known in Ukraine and abroad. She has several personal exhibitions, participates in the Potter's Days, in symposiums. She's working actively and treats traditions from a new point of view.
