Page 36 30 years have passed since the community got to know the art of the married couple Mykola and Tetiana Zatserkliany from Kremenchuk. The follower of his countryman V. Nahnybida in the art of wood cutting, Mykola started studying the articles of folk everyday life in the greatest museums of the country, he studied their composition, shape, ornaments. In his own works he uses three-edged erose, relief, contour wood cutting technique and is a constant participant of folk art exhibitions in Ukraine and Russia. His works have also been exhibited in Bulgaria, Poland, Germany. Since 1972 his wife Tetiana Antonivna has been holding a brush in her hands - painting on the wood surface of the articles made by her husband. Her works were exhibited in Kyiv, Moscow, Kaniv, Poltava, Velyko-Tyrnovo (Bulgaria), Saint-Petersburg. The carver M. Zatserklianyi and the decorative painting master T. Zatserkliana's basic values are based on traditions, strong folk way of thinking. The author of the story is Viktor Furman. |
