Under the heading "Memory" the Narodne Mystetstvo (Folk Art) magazine publishes Sergiy Latanskyi's, expert in arts, story about the art exhibition of Volodymyr Predeyn, a talented Zaporizhie master of a naive folk art. 40 pictures were exhibited at the exhibition. The heroes of the pictures are the Cossacks. The author found a very apt genre composition of a picture. He was fond of art from early childhood and even having become a military man he participated in art exhibitions, decorated museums of military glory. But he became really interested in a heroic history of Zaporizhie area only after his release when he moved to Ukraine (he is Russian) and devoted himself to painting. While reading one can imagine the master's pictures, in particular, dynamic pictures of battles, that resemble in a way the pictures of famous Samokysh, but they are "remelted" in his own manner in the heart of a folk artist.
