According to the art critic Hryhoriy Mishchenko, in the works of the honorable folk art master Oleksandr Vilchynskyi the high culture of bionic form coexists with decor, style, with the beauty of the item itself and thus makes the proposal to a purchaser to whom these pottery serves not only as items of his everyday usage but becomes a kind of a native spiritual world at home. In the master's works one can see initial forms that come from Trypillia ceramics. In a pure form he manifests connection of his midday Zaporizhie area with the West. He himself doesn't come from Zaporizhie, he was born in Siberia in 1955, but then he was lucky to come back to Ukraine. Now he is working in the village Inzhenernoye near Poloh and at the same time governs Zaporizhie Union Center. Such a powerful creative person has a chance to influence on the energetic level not only on the spiritual natural habitat of the people living around him but on the young generation of ceramists, whom the Union fosters at its pottery symposiums, as well.
