Under this headline the doctor of arts Oleksandr Nayden represents his point of view on a toy. He thinks that it is a toy that contains the greatest volume of information and not a computer game or computer memory. In this case the master is a keeper of the ethnic cultural plastic intuition that is of substantial forms, impelled to life by old family traditions. A traditional toy came out from ceremonial trappings. Images of people, birds, wild and domestic animals became the fundamental principles of human cultural surroundings. These images are generally conditioned, in the basis of their vividness there is a definite plastic organization of material, shaping of a shapeless material taken from a cosmogonical context of nature, giving an amorphous material a movable and plastic sense of a graphic model of a live natural prototype. A child has to compensate its isolation from nature in a way of contemplative and tangent feeling of family ancient ethnic informational forms. A Ukrainian folk toy contains a moment of truth, announces in its own language the truth about people, its earth essence and historical destination.
