(p.50) This year is 50-th anniversary of Vasyl Nahay - a person, selflessly keen on museum activity, which he dedicated all his life to. He has been in charge of Kyiv State Museum of Ukrainian Folk Decorative Art for almost quarter of a century, since the day of its foundation. He was a talented manager of the museum's activity, created an independent institution and obtained a status of the "State" museum in 1965. Under his guidance an exhibition of modern folk decorative art was arranged, first in the Refectory and the Annunciation church, and then, in the Metropolitan's chambers. Except from the chronological principle, a systematic one of presenting the material in sections was included into the conception of the exhibition, in particular: tapestry making, weaving, embroidery, clothing, ceramics, glass, porcelain and highly glazed pottery, decorative painting and pysanky painting, artistic wood and bones processing. The exposition is arranged in the same way now. He did a lot for improving the conditions of storing folk treasures and constant renewal of the collection.
