(p. 33) Oleksandr Fedoruk, the Academician, raises an issue on destruction of great affirmativeness of our people's moral at the time of power and imperative encroachments on the will of a great tradition. In particular, cooperage as a kind of art now is a relict product, the same as the era of blacksmiths, weaving and others leaves for the past. Once Folk Art (# 2, 1997) published an article by Volodymyr Voronchak Cooperage and Artistic Pyrography in Prykarpattia region. It is the only one as to this topic that witnesses, that this kind of art dramatically descends from a survival limit. However, an enthusiast and an expert V.Voronchak presented a grand exhibition of art works at the end of 2003 in the exhibition hall of the Union and fascinated by a bright ascent of his creative work, attracted attention to cooperage as an essential element of folk art. A unique cooperage practice of V.Voronchak, who teaches this art to children in Vyzhnytsia, and lives not far from that place in Kuty, anyway provides us with the grounds to hope, that time will come and at the exhibitions other coopers will appear as well as a necessity of comparison and deeper analysis as well as generalization of the process.
