(p.12)Last year Kateryna Karashchuk, an Honorable Master of Folk Art of Ukraine, celebrated her 70s anniversary. The visitors saw women's clothes and men's shirts and, sure, a large collection of rushnyky (embroidered towels) traditional for Ukraine as well as other products at her personal anniversary exhibition in the NUFAMU's exhibition hall in Kyiv. Vira Zaichenko, an art expert, analyzing the creative work of this famous embroideress, traces her whole artistic way starting from graduation from Kyiv College of Decorative and Applied Arts, work at Reshytylivka factory of artistic goods (1957 - 1963) and Pryluky factory on stockings production till present, she notes a great striving of the master to perfect her skills. Flourishing of her creative work falls on 80s and the following years. A bright mastering of the embroidery technique, combination and application of different colors distinguish the master among colleagues.
