GREAT MASTERS OF MEXICAN FOLK ART - such exhibition took place in Kyiv in the museum of Ukrainian folk decorative art from 6 September till 25 November 2002. All exhibits are the part of a numerous collection of works of Mexican Indians that was collected and purchased by the fund of folk art support of Mexican national bank. From 1996 this bank invests much money for handicraft development of different outstanding masters. The sources of art are in millennial tradition of Maya, Atstek cultures as well as European and Asian cultures, that were brought by Spaniards with the discovery of America. Before the exhibition was shown in the USA, Canada, Spain, France, Poland. In Kyiv there were exhibited 323 articles of ceramic, art wood carving, embroidery, weaving, national clothes, jewelry, articles made of paper, bamboo, etc. Nina Rozsoshynska, honorable worker of culture, writes about the exhibition.
