SNOW-BALL TREE
The art expert Serhiy Latanskyi tells about the exhibition of Cossack rushnyk in Zaporizhzhia oblast art museum, that was held in June 2002 by "The color of a snow-ball tree" masters and admirers association of Ukrainian folk embroidery. This is a real embroidery wonder that charms with its beauty and spirituality. The composition of all rushnyky is the world's tree, the family tree, the sun and flowers. The main task of the staff and of the whole Folk Art regional office is to revive forgotten traditional types of art embroidery, to promote them in different regions of the area, to involve youth to this art.
