The appearance of the "naive" artists as well as folk art masters with the bright art features became the magic of the XX-th century. Among the most prominent artists of that kind is Mariya Pryimachenko, who during her life was the most popular folk artist. She attracted a great attention of the art lovers and the press. However, she is still the most unknown as a personality and the most enigmatic as an artist. The Doctor of Arts Oleksandr Naiden introduces the painting methods of M. Pryimachenko. He determines the basic style of the artist's paintings as synthesis of ornamental as well as figurative features. She united unique peculiarities of three prominent artists - T.Paty, K.Bilokur and H.Sobachko. However, at the same time she has a very special, individual approach to the traditional forms. Her paintings are full of different peculiar charac-ters, genres. The artist's paintings have a lot of ornaments, that can be characterized as transcanonic ones. One of the phenomena of Pryima-chenko's paintings is an integral and very special world, that she depicted. |
