KOZAK BANDURIST-PLAYER
Dnipropetrovsk Historical Museum's collection of relics of Zaporizhya kozaks counts almost 500 pieces. Among the fine paintings same 15 folk pictures are those of top interest, for instance "Kozak Bandurist-Player" or "Kozak Mamaj". The Museums scientific worker N. Miroshnychenko tells about them. Motive of the "Kozak Bandurist-Player" picture dates back as far as the 17th century. This is a true folk picture where the bright artistic-imaginative incarnation of the Kozaks' routine and folklore revealed itself.
