Novobranets with Two Wings
The works of Ivan Novobranets are like a breath of fresh air. His folk painting does not look like that of his colleagues: the dabs are wide and confident, the pictures radiate power and fundamentally. Two themes prevail: Ukrainian history and folk song. These are the two mighty wings which take the master up to the peaks of creativity and recognition, says Una Maiba. The works of this expressive man from Poltava have been exhibited in Russia, Poland, and Bulgaria. His personal exhibitions have also token place in Lubny, Poltavo and Kyiv. In this year's triennole he received very many favorable reviews.
